DMCA & Copyright Takedowns
Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-04-25
Overview
MySkii Ltd. (“MySkii”) respects intellectual property rights and follows the notice-and-takedown procedure of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the Canadian Copyright Modernization Act notice-and-notice regime, and equivalent mechanisms in other jurisdictions where they apply.
If you believe content posted on MySkii infringes a copyright you own (or are authorized to enforce), submit a takedown notice using the procedure below. We aim to investigate within 48 hours of receipt and remove or restrict access to clearly infringing content while disputes are resolved.
Filing a Takedown Notice
Email your notice to legal@myskii.com with the subject line “DMCA Takedown.” The notice must include all of the following — incomplete notices may be returned to you for clarification before action is taken:
- Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A specific description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or, for a representative list of works on the same site, the list).
- The exact URL on MySkii where the infringing material appears, and any task ID or message ID if relevant. URLs like
https://myskii.com/tasks/<id>orhttps://myskii.com/u/<handle>are most actionable. - A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Filing a Counter-Notice
If your content was removed and you believe the takedown was mistaken or misidentifies the work, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address. A valid counter-notice includes:
- Your full legal name, address, telephone, and email.
- Identification of the removed material and the URL where it previously appeared.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada (or the federal district where you reside, if outside Canada) and agreement to accept service of process from the original complainant.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
On receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant doesn't notify us within 10 business days that they've filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity, we may restore the removed material.
Repeat Infringers
MySkii reserves the right to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers, in accordance with our Terms of Service.
False Claims
Misrepresenting that material is infringing is a violation of 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) and may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Don't file frivolous notices.
